Shegon And Hines Successfully Defend Physician
Rushton Stakely shareholders, Pat Shegon and Amanda Hines, successfully defended a hospital medicine physician in Birmingham, Alabama accused of the delayed diagnosis and treatment of a post-operative bleed that resulted in his patient’s death. After a seven day trial in this medical malpractice/wrongful death case, the jury found in favor of the doctor despite Plaintiffs’ request for a $20 million verdict.
