Products Liability
Litigation over allegedly defective products and technologies is rapidly growing – as are the stakes for manufacturers, distributors, and sellers. Perhaps more than any other type of case, a products case filed against a non-resident manufacturer demands a skillful and effective defense prepared by experienced lawyers who are willing to try the case.
We regularly represent domestic and international clients in products liability claims of all types. Our expertise in this field includes the defense of claims alleging manufacturing and/or design defects, crashworthiness, distribution issues, as well as failure to warn. In addition, our product liability lawyers have successfully defended numerous product liability suits involving a wide variety of industrial, commercial, and consumer products, and we have handled complex “toxic tort” cases involving a range of allegedly hazardous substances.
In addition to our courtroom work, we also supervise domestic litigation for several international and domestic manufacturers concerning cases pending in Alabama and other states. Clients also rely upon our consulting expertise in this area, and we have drafted literature and warnings for a variety of consumer products. Our lawyers have even conducted seminars in Europe for corporations and businesses marketing products in the United States.
