Community Involvement
We aren’t just dedicated to our clients. We are also committed to our community. Our attorneys and staff members regularly contribute both time and resources to a variety of civic and charitable organizations in our area. For example, over the years, we’ve offered contributions and support to the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts, where a room is named in recognition of our firm. Over the years, Rushton Stakely has contributed to the following organizations:
- The United Way
- Leadership Montgomery
- Boy Scouts of America
- Feed America First
- March of Dimes
- Alabama Civil Justice Foundation
- Children’s Harbor
- Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce
- Montgomery Humane Society
- Montgomery Area Council on Aging
In addition, our lawyers have served in leadership roles for the Montgomery Symphony, the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, the Boys and Girls Clubs, the Montgomery YMCA, the governing boards of several local schools, and other organizations of all types. Our annual program of giving has benefited numerous other charities, such as Brantwood Children’s Home, Camp Sunshine, the Montgomery YMCA, The Salvation Army, The Family Guidance Center, and The Lighthouse Center.
Of special interest to us is the “Meals on Wheels” program sponsored by the Montgomery Area Council on Aging. Lawyers and staff have delivered hundreds of meals directly to the homes of seniors having mobility limitations. We are grateful to be a part of our community, and we are proud of our partnerships with local organizations.
