Economic Development
We regularly advise clients with respect to structuring a variety of economic and tax incentives to entice manufacturers, companies, and other organizations to locate or expand their operations within the State of Alabama. Businesses, municipalities and industrial development boards have chosen us to assist them in these efforts because of our unique and specific experience in the related areas of taxation, public finance, and real estate. Our firm has proven instrumental in assisting both businesses and municipalities in obtaining incentives in locating projects within the State of Alabama and its political subdivisions.
Most recently, we assisted the City of Montgomery and Montgomery County in the formation of the Montgomery Economic Development Cooperative District. Among other things, this effort facilitated the decision of the Hyundai Heavy Industries, Inc. subsidiary to base its business operations here in the Montgomery area.
